Dr. Jack Bowker is the Dean of RUFF University, has a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, is a certified dog trainer (CCDT), and is passionate about providing dogs and dog parents with the best dog training and education. With the knowledge and experience provided by RUFF University to dog parents during training classes, dog parents will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to build the perfect dog training foundation and environment even after the class has ended. Additionally, dog parents will learn why trust is the key ingredient to dog training and, finally, understand why and how their human behavior, whether intentional or not, significantly affects their dog's behavior.

RUFF University utilizes a Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) approach to training, which is supported by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT).
So many dog parents put all of their energy and focus into their dog's unwanted behaviors rather than on the desired behaviors they want to see in their dog. This isn't because they don't want the best training for their beloved dog; it's because they simply aren't educated about behavior.
