At RUFF University, we understand that every dog and their dog parent has different needs and goals. Therefore, we offer a range of pricing packages tailored to accommodate various requirements and budgets.
Classes
Freshman (One Class)
• One-hour in-home or a mutually agreed upon location.
• One-on-one personalized training.
•Work on target behaviors identified during consultation.
• Basic manners addressed.
• Perfect for puppies and new dog parents.
• The power of positive reinforcement in dog training.
• Assist the dog parent with understanding how their behavior impacts their dog’s behavior.
1st Semester (Four Classes)
• Freshman class with an additional three classes.
• Great for addressing multiple behaviors and basic cue strengthening.
• 1st Semester also gives you one month of free and unlimited text support after your classes are completed. We will be there to help you even after the semester ends!
2nd Semester (Six Classes)
• Freshman class with an additional five classes.
• Great for addressing multiple complex behaviors, learning advanced behaviors, and working on impulse control.
• 2nd Semester also gives you two months of free and unlimited text support after your classes are completed. We will be there to help you even after the semester ends!
3rd Semester (10 Classes)
• Freshman class with an additional nine classes.
• The 3rd Semester is perfect for addressing multiple complex behaviors, learning advanced behaviors, and implementing behavior modification plans for reactivity.
• The 3rd Semester also gives you three months of free and unlimited text support after your classes are completed. We will be there to help you even after the semester ends!
Real-time Online Classes (Train From Anywhere)

Scent Work/Nose Work Classes
RUFF University's Scent Work classes focus on discovering how to tap into your dog's natural instincts and help them thrive. Unleash the power of their incredible sense of smell and see just how amazing their noses can be!
We will teach you to read and follow your dog's mannerisms as they use their nose and hunt drive to locate a targeted odor. Scent work is one of the ultimate enrichment activities for dogs!

Behavior Maintenance Classes (12 Classes)
RUFF U Alumni Only
Extinction occurs when the reinforcing consequence that previously maintained the behavior is no longer provided. Withholding the reinforcement gradually decreases the behavior and may eventually extinguish it.
• Perfect for keeping behaviors strong/fluent.
• One 45-minute class per week.
Freshman Group Classes (Six Online Classes)
This group class is designed to assist puppy owners (pups 2 months to 6 months ONLY) who want to become educated about the critical socialization period in puppies, house-training techniques, basic cues, and the power of positive reinforcement at this age.
We will answer questions and make sure that you and your pup are on the path to building a trusting, loving, and long-term relationship.
10 slots maximum per class. Classes occur when they fill.
Walk and Train Classes
Why Not Have Your BFF Trained on a Walk?
R U's Walk and Train Classes are a fantastic way to give your dog exercise, mental stimulation, and training in one session. Walk and Trains are also a great way to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle for your dog, improving overall health and behavior. Let's face it: we all have busy schedules and can always use a hand with walking our BFFs. You can be there for the walk or be at work! By enrolling in an R U Walk and Train Class, your BFF is getting much more than just a quick stroll - they are learning! Need help with basic cues? Leash pulling? Reactivity?

Going to the shelter with a professional dog trainer and behavior consultant when adopting a dog is incredibly beneficial. We have the knowledge and experience to accurately assess a dog's behavior, which can help you find a dog that matches your lifestyle and personality.
We can observe factors you might overlook, such as energy levels, temperament, and potential behavioral issues. This means you'll have a better chance of finding the perfect companion. Moreover, involving a professional trainer and behavior consultant early on sends a positive signal to the shelter or rescue about your commitment and readiness to provide a suitable and caring home for the dog.
We will be by your side the entire time and help you make the best decisions!
