Behavior modification is different. The goal is no longer simply teaching new skills. The focus becomes understanding why the behavior is occurring and developing an individualized plan to safely and effectively change the conditions influencing that behavior.
Complex behavioral concerns require an individualized approach grounded in the science of behavior.

Going to the shelter with a professional dog trainer and behavior consultant when adopting a dog is incredibly beneficial. We have the knowledge and experience to accurately assess a dog's behavior, which can help you find a dog that matches your lifestyle and personality.
We can observe factors you might overlook, such as energy levels, temperament, and potential behavioral issues. This means you'll have a better chance of finding the perfect companion. Moreover, involving a professional trainer and behavior consultant early on sends a positive signal to the shelter or rescue about your commitment and readiness to provide a suitable and caring home for the dog.
We will be by your side the entire time and help you make the best decisions!
$60 per hour

Travel fees will be added for any location outside a 20-minute driving radius from Audubon, NJ.
This will be discussed during the consultation.
Pricing for our packages and individual classes at RUFF University is competitive, reflecting the high-quality services and expertise provided. We believe that investing in our dogs' education and behavior is invaluable, and we strive to make our services accessible to all dog parents who share our commitment to their pets' well-being.
The process of professional dog training and behavior consulting is a time-intensive task, especially when there are multiple behavioral issues to tackle. In an academic context, it’s crucial to understand that this process involves a graduated approach - it is not feasible to accomplish a broad spectrum of behavioral modification within a mere day of training. If a trainer tells you otherwise, we would suggest you locate a new trainer (US).
